Welcome to Hindley High School

We are a thriving school committed to challenge for all and support when needed. We expect the highest standards of performance, behaviour and effort and we emphasise the development of self-discipline, independent learning, self-esteem and respect for others.

We are very proud of what our pupils achieve whether it is in academic subjects, vocational courses or out of school activities. We provide learning opportunities where everyone can develop their knowledge, skills and attitude so that they become outstanding young adults, who are prepared for further training or study and for their future jobs. We have a culture which celebrates and rewards those high standards.

We provide your child with
excellent opportunities to discover their strengths and talents. We also provide courses and teaching which are relevant for their needs and we ensure that your child can access their dreams and aspirations.

I hope you enjoy browsing our web site which gives you a flavour of our school in action.

Ofsted Visit

Thank you to all parents and pupils for their massive support over the two days of our Ofsted inspection. We are very happy with the outcome. The Ofsted report can be viewed here.

Winter weather conditions

We are now at that time of year when we will start to experience cold frosty mornings and possibe severe Winter weather which could result in slippery conditions underfoot.

To keep pupils and staff safe, it is vitally important that everyone wears sensible and suitable footwear, with a good sole grip, to assist them walking safely.

It is essential that when moving around school you take great care and when outside you keep to the pathways and  areas that have been gritted.
