Yellow Bus Information Update
Platt Bridge – Hindley High School Yellow School Bus Y61
Could I please remind pupils including those that will make up the new intake in September that, in order to maximise their chances of being issued with a yellow bus pass, they will need to make their online application as soon as possible as the portal will close on the 30th of June.
Please note that early applications will allow more consideration for the best bus route to use in the next academic year.
VIVOedge at Hindley High School
When we do good things, it’s nice to be rewarded, right? Vivo is here to help. Vivo is the world’s most popular and successful rewards platform. Which means…. we help your teachers reward you for the good things that you do. If you do good things, your teachers will reward you with Vivos. These can be exchanged for items in our shop. We keep on top of all the latest trends. We make doing good things fun with competitions, missions, badges and much more!
For children with igo passes, the single fare is £1.30, the return fare is £2.20 and the cost of the school weekly ticket is £7.00.
Children who do not have igo passes will be charged a default single fare which is £1.70. Children without igo passes are also unable to buy either returns or weekly tickets.
There are still a number of school buses where fares are set by the operator.

‘Be Your Best Self’
Our mission is to be the very best that we can be in a school that values individuals, promotes team work and recognises the importance of community.
We value kindness, tolerance and hard work and we promote high expectations. We believe that everyone should be respected, listened to and understood to ensure that the whole community thrives. We believe everyone should try their hardest. By doing our very best we will achieve the highest standard in everything that we do.
We believe every member of our school community must take personal responsibility for their contribution towards achieving our school’s mission; through this we aim to enable all of our pupils to thrive, to fulfil their potential and contribute positively to the wider community and its future success.
